The main active hot water spout now is Strokkur, the original Geysir having been more or less blocked by rocks thrown in to it, in an attempt to get an eruption! Geysir is a must do stop off point on the Golden Circle. ON this winter morning, the sculpture was surrounded by a sheet of ice, which I did not dare venture onto, but has a fabulous outlook onto the mountains across the sea from Reykjavik. The Sun Voyager is a dreamboat, an ode to the sun. It is intended to contain within itself the promise of undiscovered territory, a dream of hope, and of progress and freedom. The sculpture is located by Sæbraut, by the sea in the centre of Reykjavík, Iceland.
